Remedy Entertainment and 505 Games reunite once more!
Remedy Entertainment has announced via Twitter that they have signed a co-development and co-publishing agreement with 505 Games for Control 2. The pair have previously worked together on 2019’s Control, which was nominated for many Game of the Year awards. Back in June 2021, Remedy announced Codename Heron, which is now confirmed to be Control 2.

The development studio is currently undergoing a large number of projects including Alan Wake 2, a Control multiplayer game, remakes of Max Payne 1 and 2, and now Control 2. 505 Games is an Italian video game publisher that has published a plethora of games in the 16 years since being founded. Published games include Terraria, Abzû, Dead by Daylight, Unturned, the PC release of Death Stranding, and many more.
“We are excited to deepen our cooperation with Remedy and continue the success story of Control together. Since its launch in 2019, Control has sold over 3 million copies,” say Rami and Raffi Galante, co-CEOs of Digital Bros Group/505 Games. “Control is the biggest investment 505 Games has ever made, so it has a special place in our hearts. We are grateful to the whole player community that has made Control such a long-lasting and loved game, and are even more excited to bring out Control 2,” Rami and Raffi Galante continue.
Control 2 is currently in concept stage and is being developed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC using Remedy’s proprietary Northlight® engine and tools. Remedy will be publishing the game on PC, while 505 Games will be publishing on consoles.
