Electronic Arts have announced a long-term deal with Marvel that will see the two brands collaborate on at least three new action-adventure games.

In the blog post, EA says that each of the games will be their own original stories set in the Marvel universe. The first game will be a single-player, third-person, action-adventure Iron Man game developed by Motive Studios. Motive Studios was founded in 2015 and are the studio behind Star Wars Battlefront II (2017), Star Wars: Squadrons (2020), and the upcoming Dead Space remake.

“Developed in collaboration with Marvel, the Iron Man game will feature an original narrative that taps into the rich history of the character, channeling the complexity, charisma, and creative genius of Tony Stark, and enabling players to feel what it’s like to truly play as Iron Man. The team is being led by Olivier Proulx, who brings experience working on past Marvel titles like Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and is joined by a dedicated team of passionate industry veterans including Ian Frazier, Maëlenn Lumineau, and JF Poirier at the studio.”

We will report more on the untitled Iron Man game and the two other games as they are announced.

Motive Studios’ Dead Space remake will be released on January 27.
