October is upon us and that means more and more games are getting released as the year closes. It was hard to narrow the month down to just 8 games, but here they are:

 

Overwatch 2 (October 4)

Overwatch 2 will be completely replacing Overwatch and with a new free-to-play structure, now would be the best time to dive into Blizzard’s first-person shooter. Changes in the second installment include 5v5 instead of 6v6, a new battle pass system, and reworks to heroes.

A Plague Tale: Requiem (October 18)

The sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence will once again follow siblings Amicia and Hugo de Rune as they search for a cure for Hugo’s blood disease. As the pair are older in this game, the combat has been expanded including a crossbow for Amicia.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope (October 20)

The crossover between Mario and Rabbids is back and better than ever. This turn-based strategy game follows the same formula as the previous game but with a larger roster of characters including Bowser, and will include DLC in the future featuring Rayman himself!

New Tales from the Borderlands (October 21)

Similar to Tales from the Borderlands, it is a graphic adventure game in which the player must move the game’s protagonist around the world’s environment, explore their surroundings, complete quick-time events, and make narrative choices that may change the outcome of the story.

Gotham Knights (October 21)

Gotham Knights is an upcoming action role-playing game set in an open world Gotham City.  The game features four playable characters: Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood. Each character has their own unique playstyle and abilities, such as Robin being able to teleport via the Justice League’s satellite.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (October 28)

New gameplay innovations. All-new gun handling. Advanced AI. Modern Warfare® II bring you a global campaign, immersive multiplayer combat and narrative-driven Special Ops. We played the Open Beta on PlayStation 5, and it’s looking good!

Resident Evil Village – Winters’ Expansion (October 28)

Experience brand-new additional content for the award-winning modern horror masterpiece Resident Evil: Village. New content includes Third-person mode, the Mercenaries Additional Orders including Lady Dimitrescu as a playable character, and Shadows of Rose, a new scenario starring a grown-up Rose, Ethan’s beloved daughter whose kidnapping as a baby kicked off the original Village story.

Bayonetta 3 (October 28)

Sporting a wicked new ensemble and somehow familiar pigtails, the titular Umbra Witch must face a mysterious evil using her signature guns and time-slowing Witch Time ability. This time, invading man-made bioweapons called Homunculi find themselves in Bayonetta’s crosshairs.
